VALENCIAN COMMUNITY VICEPRESIDENT (middle)

This Tuesday, February 20th, the hall of acts of the Lluís Vives High School hosted the inauguration of this "Academy." The general director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Natxo Costa, presented the new materials to the students, the target audience of the campaign. Also there were the counselors Rafa Climent and Vicent Marzà, and vice president and counselor Mónica Oltra, as well as the secretary general of the IVAJ, Jesús Martí.
In the first row also attended Xavi Rico, Maria Vivas, Maria Navarro and Sergio Jurado. They are the young youtubers and main cast of the 25 videos of this didactic project in defense of the responsible use of new technologies. These audiovisual contents are available on the official web of the Consellería of  Economy. Apart from the videos, which can also be seen on YouTube, there is a guide to with a brief presentation of each of the content and proposals for activities and debates.

INTERNATIONAL SALE

VISOMO ENTERTAINMENT owns the rights of the documentary film "Over the sky of Azerbaijan". We are happy to announce that the French TV channel TOUTE L´HISTOIRE will broadcast our film from 17th to 22nd of December 2017.

The channel specializes in the history of France and the world, its programs consist primarily of historical documentaries, but also films and stories to explore all aspects of history.

PRÈMIERE

VIVIR LUCHANDO, Visomo´s documentary film about Mixed Martial Arts, had its première yesterday night at the Jardí Botànic of the Universidad de Valencia. The audience enjoyed the screening and later they had the chance to participate in a Q&A with Agustín Jiménez (protagonist of the film) and the director Sagrario Perpiñán.

Moreover, there was a conference about the past and future of the Martial Arts which included the participation of Andrés Mínguez. Researcher at the International Center for Martial Arts and Youth Development (UNESCO) Korea and David Armendariz, President of the Valencian Fighting Federation.

VIVIR LUCHANDO will be broadcasted by the ODISEA CHANNEL in 2018.

VISOMO SPORTS

VISOMO ENTERTAINMENT with the Mixed Martial Arts organization Victoria Fight League (VFL) reached an agreement with the streaming platform OPEN SPORT for the production and broadcasting of all the yearly MMA events of the VFL for 2018, and the last event of 2017 (1/12/17 Pobla de Farnals).

MMA enjoys a huge trend of popularity worldwide, including the Spanish market.

VIVIR LUCHANDO

We are proud to present the official trailer of our last production VIVIR LUCHANDO, a documentary film about two MMA professional fighters in Spain struggling to make a living out of this sport. 

The main musical theme is performed by the hip hop singer Salcedo.

CONSUM ACADEMY

The Valencian Government (Consellería de Economía i Comerç) hired a new production to VISOMO ENTERTAINMENT: CONSUM ACADEMY.

CONSUM ACADEMY consist in learning materials for a smart use of new technologies addressed to teenagers. Through 25 audiovisual short stories directed and written by Carles Cerezuela, the audience will learn with humor the challenges of the XXI century internet users.

FIRST STEPS ON LOCKED

We are pleased to inform that LOCKED PRODUCTIONS A.I.E. will be officially registered at the Spanish Mercantile Register next week. This entity will produce our next feature film “Locked” directed by Tacho González.

An AIE is equivalent to a Tax Shelter company under the Spanish regulations, a legal vehicle that allows private investors and production companies to participate jointly in the film and benefit of the tax advantages provided by law.

ONE MONTH TO CARTOON FORUM

Created in 1990, Cartoon Forum is a unique event focusing on pitching sessions of pre-selected TV projects, where animation producers can find cross-border partners and speed up financial arrangements.

It allows co-productions to be finalised, pre-buys agreed, negotiation of distribution agreements, options discussed on every type of right, and licensing of secondary rights. This year the organization expects the following participation:

870 PARTICIPANTS from 30 countries
250 BROADCASTERS and investors
75-80 ANIMATION PROJECTS to be pitched

Almost all European broadcasters and major media investment groups attend the Cartoon Forum each year to get a sneak preview of the latest animation projects for television and pick the future hits.

Most likely, VISOMO will participate just as a listener, but for 2016 we will be in the pitching list with MAGIC TWIN BOX for sure.

THE GREAT PIXAR

The City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia hosts from the 2nd of June  until the end of August, the exhibition Pixar. 25 years of animation, which brings together 400 pieces from more than 40 different artists tracing the history of the American animation factory, from his first short films to such memorable films as Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Monsters, Inc., Cars, Finding Nemo or Up.

Recently, some of the team had the chance to visit the exhibition and assist later to a screening of Inside out.

VISOMO IN VIMEO

Vimeo is a video-sharing website in which users can upload, share and view videos. This site offers unlimited HD embeds. We hired Vimeo Plus service, meaning that we can upload videos that are up to five gigabytes of footage, roughly equivalent to 2.5 hours of HD video. This makes it possible for full length, high-definition feature films to be uploaded.

Good price and state-of-the-art technology are two good reasons that are worth the effort of a long jet-lag journey. After several weeks of working hard on the paper work and overcoming many obstacles hand in hand with our Russian partner ЛайтПродакшн (Liteprodaksn), we can finally say that MAGIC TWIN BOX production starts right now.
Beginning production means making a great leap forward for us after a long development shaping the amazing brothers Cuco & Dodo and all their gang.

4K/UHD CONFERENCES

Yesterday, we attended to the Madrid19th 3Dday Conference that took place at the Film Academy Theatre in this year., and focused on 4K (Ultra High Definition) in all its glory, featuring a series of case studies by industry professionals. The 3Dday provided attendees with the unique opportunity to explore the creative and technical aspects of the format within the entire production process, from shoot to screen.

Co-organised by Canon and SGO, the high-profile event aims to approach the various challenges that have to be considered when facing a 4K/UHD production. 4K/UHD projects require workflows that make the most out of capturing the footage with the aim of preserving the original image quality. The 4K zeal is not just about merely more pixels, but better high-quality pixels, including High Frame Rates, EDR and new colour spaces which play a significant role.

We enjoyed the speeches of Sébastien Devaud, director and producer at BIGSENSORS & FILM, Sam Sheppard, International Film and Broadcast Consultant and SGO team member AND John Daro, Senior DI Colorist, FotoKem, and we learned an essential lesson: from now, only 4K/UHD!

SEVILLE EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVAL

The aim of the Seville European Film Festival is to promote and circulate European cinema, while establishing itself as an annual meeting place for talented European filmmakers, specialized journalists and professionals from the sector.

VISOMO was present this year and during 2 days we actively participated in one of its parallel activities: THE INTERNATIONAL AUDIOVISUAL CONFERENCE.

Besides meeting dozens of cinema and TV producers and professionals, we participated in its round-tables and one-to-one meetings where we had the chance to discuss about the latest trends in the digital sector and VOD platforms, exposition of different financing models in Europe, how to connect with audiences from the project’s conception or how to build a successful strategy in MEDIA Development.

We are sure the conferences will mark a before and an after for our projects, especially for MAGIC TWIN BOX.

MAGIC TWIN BOX: GOOD NEWS!

MAGIC TWIN BOX (MTB) is VISOMO´s flagship project, a priceless property developed during the last year.

MTB is an animation TV series targeted for a pre-school (0-3 years) audience with a clear pedagogical purpose. The main characters are Cuco and Dodo, a couple of naughty twins, two and a half years old.


Now it´s confirmed that all the characters and scenarios will be developed by the promising designer and cartoonist Nacho Gallach. Here you are a very first look of the twins and some of the remarkable Nacho´s work.
